Eastern Scholar House is a non-profit organization, working with Eastern Kentucky University and Kentucky Housing Corporation and includes :

The Early Learning Center, a licensed child development center that serves both the low income children, student & faculty children and is linked the College of Education as an incubator and hands on learning laboratory for its students. The Academic Service Center will provide the single parents who attend local colleges and trade schools. The Residences consist of 39 two bedroom Apartments for the low income single parents making an effort to improve the lives of their children as well as their own.
