JCPS Dedicate New Schools

On Tuesday, October 11th, Jefferson County Public Schools hosted the dedication of the Joseph E. Stopher Elementary School, one of two prototype schools designed by Voelker.Blackburn.Niehoff Architects.

Built simultaneously with James E. Farmer Elementary, both schools were occupied by faculty over the summer months and ready for students and a new school year in August of 2007.

These one-story schools are designed for 650 students (Pre-K thru 5th Grade) and are fully accessible. Each school will provide an exciting learning environment and the most modern technology for students and teachers.
