The Phase II Additions to the Northeast Family YMCA increased the size of the facility by 20% and added much-needed area to this very popular complex. One of the main features is an instructional pool for water aerobics, swim lessons, and other water-based classes - which allows for the main pool to be used for larger training sessions. Also included is a small gymnasium for kids, a new multi-purpose room, staff offices and support spaces.

The exterior of the additions compliment the existing facility in materials and massing. Similar elements are used to blur the distinction between old and new.
